Galaxy Surfactants appoints Madhavan Hariharan as Independent Director

Madhavan Hariharan has been appointed as an Independent Director of Galaxy Surfactants Limited, effective May 23, 2023. Hariharan has extensive business experience and certifications, including a Commerce degree, ACA, ACS, and CISA. He has also completed advanced training at major universities such as Harvard University, Wharton, and IIM. Hariharan has been with the CK Birla Group since 2017. He is responsible for Group Strategy, Finance, Governance, and Risk Management. The CK Birla Group has a presence in both public and unlisted enterprises in India, Europe, and the United States. From 1998 to 2017, Hariharan held numerous positions at Royal Philips in the Netherlands, including CFO duties for Emerging Markets, Healthcare, Automotive Lighting, and India. At Royal Philips, he was also in charge of financial transformation, Go-to-Market restructuring, and M&A. Hariharan has worked for prestigious companies such as Ashok Leyland, PepsiCo, TATA SIA, and a Telecom Startup, where he held positions in Internal Audit, Treasury, and Financial Planning and Analysis.
