Four Independent Directors Retire From Butterfly Gandhimathi Board

A. Balasubramanian, M. Padmanabhan, G. S. Samuel and T. R. Srinivasan, Independent Directors of Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances Limited, have retired on July 31, 2024.

A Balasubramanian, a qualified Chartered Accountant, joined the Board of Directors of Butterfly Gandhimathi Kitchen Appliances on November 14, 2011. Prior to this, he retired as Chief General Manager at Punjab National Bank, New Delhi. His expertise lies in credit administration and other areas of banking. At Butterfly Gandhimathi Kitchen Appliances, he served as a member of the Audit Committee and the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

M. Padmanabhan, a chartered accountant by profession, joined the Board of Directors of Butterfly Gandhimathi Kitchen Appliances on January 30, 1999. He has a colossal experience of over 45 years in the field of auditing public companies as well as nationalised and scheduled banks. At Butterfly Gandhimathi, he also served as a member of the audit, Shareholders Relationship, Nomination and Remuneration committees.

G.S. Samuel joined the Board of Directors of Butterfly Gandhimathi Kitchen Appliances on May 11, 2012. Throughout his professional career, he has worked with esteemed and renowned organisations and has rich experience in financial advisory, private equity placement, capital market services, mergers and acquisitions, and debt restructuring. At Butterfly Gandhimathi Kitchen Appliances, he was a member of the Corporate Social Responsibility committee.

T.R. Srinivasan joined the Board of Directors of Butterfly Gandhimathi Kitchen Appliances on 1st 1, 2013. He has over 35 years of wide-ranging experience in policy planning and implementation in sectors such as urban planning, development, forecasting food requirements, procurement, and the planning and development of industrial infrastructure. He retired as Vice Chairman of the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) in 2008. At Butterfly, he was the Chairman of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee.
