Four Independent Directors of HPCL Retire

Vimla Pradhan, Vivekananda Biswal, Bechan Lal, and Ramdarshan Singh Pal have stepped down as Independent Directors of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) following the completion of their terms, effective November 16, 2024.

Vimla Pradhan is a dedicated social worker who has held various roles as a member of the Jharkhand Ministry’s Committee of Government.

Vivekananda Biswal is a seasoned professional serving on the Boards of several businesses. He holds a postgraduate degree in commerce and is a member of the Indian Institute of Cost Accountants.

Bechan Lal, a Ph.D. holder, is the Vice-Chancellor of the Cluster University of Jammu. He is widely recognised for his academic contributions, including co-authoring multiple books, and has received numerous honours. Bechan Lal is also actively involved as an office-bearer and member of various scientific societies.

Ramdarshan Singh Pal is a practicing advocate specialising as Assistant District Government Counsel (ADGC Criminal) at the Mainpuri Civil Court in Uttar Pradesh. He holds a postgraduate degree in arts and an LLB.
