Former ULA CEO Tory Bruno Appointed President Of Blue Origin Unit

Blue Origin has appointed Tory Bruno as President of its National Security Group.

The appointment follows Bruno’s departure as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of United Launch Alliance, a joint venture between Boeing and Lockheed Martin.

Bruno is a defence and aerospace professional with over three decades of experience at Lockheed Martin, where he held senior leadership roles, including Vice President and General Manager (VP & GM) for Strategic and Missile Defence Programs, Fleet Ballistic Missile, and THAAD Missile programmes. He has also contributed his expertise to the U.S. government as a Special Federal Employee on the Defence Innovation Board and as a member of the National Space Council at the White House. At ULA, he led the development of the Vulcan rocket, which is intended to replace the Atlas V and Delta IV launch vehicles and support future US government missions. Bruno holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and pursued National Security Policy Studies at Harvard University.
