Enrique Lores Succeeds Alex Chriss As CEO Of PayPal

PayPal Holdings has appointed Enrique Lores as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President, succeeding Alex Chriss, effective March 1, 2026.

Lores joins PayPal after more than six years as CEO and President of HP Inc. During his tenure, he oversaw changes in the company’s business mix, expanding beyond PCs and printing into services, subscriptions, and work-related technology offerings, including products using artificial intelligence. He was also involved in the HP and HPE separation and in subsequent efforts to streamline operations, adjusts cost structures, and support product and technology development over the long term.

Chriss served as CEO and President of PayPal, where he focused on product, customers, and platform development. Before joining PayPal, he spent around 20 years at Intuit in roles across product, business management, and operations. He was a member of Intuit’s executive leadership team and served as Executive Vice President and General Manager (EVP & GM) of the Small Business and Self-Employed Group, overseeing products including QuickBooks and Mailchimp. Earlier, he was Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Product Officer for Intuit’s Small Business organisation, managing product lines across accounting, payroll, and payments. Chriss has also founded and sold two start-ups during his career. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Tufts University.
