Dr. Peter Mugyenyi resigned as ID at Cipla Limited

Dr. Peter Mugyenyi resigned as Independent Director at Cipla effective today. Dr. Peter Mugyenyi is a respected expert in HIV/AIDS and related conditions, known for his work as a Ugandan paediatrician and researcher. He holds the position of Executive Director at the Joint Clinical Research Centre in Kampala, which is a well-regarded institution for medical research, training, and healthcare. Dr. Mugyenyi has been instrumental in introducing the use of antiretroviral therapy (ART) in Africa and developing an effective model for scaling up ARTs in resource-limited countries. He has served as a Principal Investigator on dozens of landmark research projects, some of which were funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), The European Union, WHO, and the Medical Research Council (MRC). He is also a board member of several institutions and organizations globally.
