Dr. Michael Leiters To Succeed Oliver Blume As CEO Of Porsche AG

Porsche AG has appointed Dr. Michael Leiters as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective January 1, 2026, succeeding Oliver Blume, who has led the company for ten years and will continue as CEO of Volkswagen Group.

Dr. Leiters is a German automotive executive with extensive experience in sports and luxury car manufacturing. He served as head of McLaren Automotive from July 2022 to April 2025, overseeing the launch of four models, including the 750S, McLaren’s latest internal combustion engine car. Prior to McLaren, he worked at Porsche, holding positions such as executive assistant to the CEO, project manager for the Cayenne hybrid, and product line director. He then joined Ferrari as Chief Technology Officer (2014–2019), contributing to the development of the SF90 Stradale and 296 GTB hybrid models. Leiters holds a doctorate in engineering and a mechanical engineering diploma from RWTH Aachen University and brings decades of experience in automotive product development and leadership.
