Dr. Dharmendra Bhandari Concludes Decade-Long Tenure as Independent Director of LIC Housing

Dr. Dharmendra Bhandari has completed two consecutive terms of five years each as an Independent Director on the Board of LIC Housing Finance Limited on August 18, 2024.

Dr. Bhandari has been a member of the Faculty of Commerce at the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and has over three decades of experience in the financial sector. He has held significant roles, including serving as the sole consultant to the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) for the inquiry into irregularities in securities and banking transactions (1992–93). In 1994, he was appointed Officer on Special Duty with the Reserve Bank of India, Mumbai, and has been a member of the Central Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has also served on the Boards of several financial institutions, including Dena Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, Bank of Baroda, JP Morgan Mutual Fund (India) Pvt. Ltd., SBI Capital Markets, and Barclays Investments & Loans (India) Ltd. Additionally, he has been a Board member of various companies, such as Tata Timken and Birla Corp.
