Don Bailey To Retire From AIG As EVP & CEO; New Leadership Appointed In North America Commercial Unit

Don Bailey, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer (EVP & CEO) of North America Commercial Insurance at American International Group (AIG), will retire at year-end due to health reasons.

AIG will implement a new leadership structure for its U.S. commercial unit effective January 1, 2026. Allison Cooper and Barbara Luck will serve as Co-Presidents of Retail, while Lou Levinson will be named President of Wholesale. All three will report to John Neal, who will become President of AIG.

Bailey joined AIG in 2023 as Global Head of Distribution, Field Operations, bringing four decades of experience in the insurance sector. Prior to AIG, he was a Partner at Bristlecone Partners, a growth and human capital consultancy firm. Bailey holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Allegheny College and an MBA from Eastern University. He has over 30 years of experience in the insurance sector, including leadership roles as President of Global Sales at Marsh, President of Allstate B2B, Chairman of Encompass, and Chairman and CEO of Willis Towers Watson North America.
