Diwakar Gupta Joins Alkem Board As Independent Director
Alkem Laboratories Limited announced that its Board of Directors has approved the appointment of Diwakar Gupta as an Independent Director (Additional Director) effective July 13, 2025.
Diwakar Gupta is an Independent Director with over 48 years of experience in banking and financial services. He spent 39 years at the State Bank of India, retiring as Managing Director and CFO in 2013. He later held senior advisory roles at Aditya Birla Nuvo and True North. From 2015 to 2020, he served as Vice President at the Asian Development Bank, overseeing private sector and PPP operations. He currently holds board positions at CRISIL Ratings, Mahindra Holidays, Mahindra Finance, and SMFG India Credit, and is the Non-Executive Chairman of India Debt Resolution Company. He is also associated with CAFRAL, an RBI-promoted body. Gupta holds a postgraduate degree in physics from the University of Delhi and graduated from St Stephen’s College.
