Deutsche Bank Appoints New Heads For Origination & Advisory Teams

Deutsche Bank has reshuffled key leadership roles in its deal-making division amid efforts to meet 2025 targets on cost and profitability.

Pierpaolo Di Stefano will lead origination and advisory in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, excluding Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Jeff Cady and Bruce Evans will head the same functions in the Americas, while Berthold Fuerst will oversee Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The changes were announced in an internal memo. CEO Christian Sewing has described 2025 as a “year of reckoning” and indicated strategy changes are under consideration. This is the first major leadership restructuring under Alison Harding-Jones, recently named head of global investment banking.
