Deirdre Mahlan Takes Over As Interim CFO At Diageo

Diageo has appointed Deirdre Mahlan as interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO), following Nik Jhangiani’s move to interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) earlier this month.

Mahlan has over 30 years of experience in wine and spirits, including two decades at Diageo, where she held roles such as CFO of Diageo plc and President of Diageo North America. Before that, she worked at Joseph E. Seagram & Sons and began her career at PwC. At Duckhorn, she led over 600 employees across 11 wineries and 2,200 acres of vineyards. Mahlan serves on the Board of Kimberly-Clark Corporation and is a Finance Committee member at the Wine Institute. She holds a BS in accounting from NYU and an MBA from Columbia University.
