Davinder Singh Brar And Rajinder Pal Singh Conclude Tenure On Maruti Suzuki Board

The second term of Davinder Singh Brar and Rajinder Pal Singh as Independent Directors of Maruti Suzuki India Limited concluded on August 27, 2024.

Davinder Singh Brar has been a Board member of Maruti Suzuki since 2006. He is the promoter of GVK Biosciences Pvt. Ltd., Excelra Knowledge Solutions Pvt. Ltd., and Davix Management Services Pvt. Ltd. Brar began his career with Associated Cement Companies (ACC) and later served as MD and CEO of Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. Currently, he is the Chairman of Mphasis Ltd. and sits on the Boards of Maruti Suzuki India, Wockhardt Ltd., and Mountain Trail Foods (India) Pvt. Ltd. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the USA-India Chamber of Commerce (USAIC). Brar holds a bachelor’s degree from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, and a master’s degree from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.

Rajinder Pal Singh, a 1976-batch IAS officer of the Andhra Pradesh Cadre, holds a postgraduate degree in mathematics from Punjab University, Chandigarh. Before joining Maruti Suzuki, he held key roles such as Chairman of the National Highways Authority of India and Chairman/MD of Punjab & Sind Bank. With nearly 46 years of experience, he is an expert in regulatory areas covering finance, industry, urban development, and infrastructure.
