CP Gurnani, Ex-Tech Mahindra CEO, Joins Upgrad Board
CP Gurnani, former Tech Mahindra CEO and MD, has been appointed to the UpGrad Board as an independent non-executive Director.
In his role as an Independent Director of the Edtech company, Gurnani’s primary focus is on expanding UpGrad’s global presence. He aims to collaborate with the leadership team to transform UpGrad into a highly export-oriented product, capitalising on opportunities in both B2B and B2C markets. Gurnani finds it fascinating how UpGrad is reshaping the educational landscape by empowering millions and meeting the growing demand for upskilling, especially in the era of AI.
Gurnani becomes the second non-executive Director at UpGrad following the appointment of Dan Rosensweig from Chegg in March last year.
After a 19-year tenure at Tech Mahindra, Gurnani retired from his position in December. Prior to this, he served on the Board of Mahindra & Mahindra for more than three decades and was the founder and CEO of HCL Perot JV before joining Tech Mahindra.
