Company Registrations Up 8.3% In June; LLPs See 18.4% Rise
Company registrations in India rose by 8.3% in June, while LLP registrations increased by 18.4% compared to the same month last year.
According to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), 16,654 companies were incorporated in June, up from 15,375 in June 2024. Registrations of limited liability partnerships (LLPs) also increased to 7,534, compared to 6,362 a year earlier. In the June quarter, company incorporations rose 29% year-on-year to 61,141, while 23,068 LLPs were registered, marking an increase of over 30%. This was the sixth consecutive monthly rise in company registrations, though the pace slowed from the previous two months due to a lower base effect.
Officials attributed the increase to policy measures aimed at easing business setup and compliance. The IMF has projected India to remain the fastest-growing major economy through FY26 and FY27, with growth rates of 6.2% and 6.3%, respectively.
