Cholamandalam Financial Reappoints Vasudha Sundararaman & K Balasubramanian as Independent Directors

The Board of Directors of Cholamandalam Financial Holdings Limited has approved the reappointments of Vasudha Sundararaman and K Balasubramanian as Independent Directors for three years each, with effect from February 12, 2025, and March 17, 2025, respectively.

Vasudha Sundararaman joined SBI in 1981 and retired in November 2017 as Chief General Manager. Sundararaman has had lengthy experience in the grass-roots retail aspects of banking for close to 20 years. She is a M.Sc. (Zoology) from Madras University and a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers.

K. Balasubramanian is a Chartered Accountant by profession. He served as the CFO of Matrimony.com in 2016 for a period of two and a half years and was instrumental in listing the company. He was associated with Tube Investments of India (Tube Investments’) for nearly three decades and had been the CFO of the company for about 14 years. He had played the role of an advisor and influencer in the divestment and acquisition of domestic and international businesses, domestic and international financing, the simplification of business processes, and the strengthening of internal controls. Balasubramanian was associated with Price WaterHouse, Africa, for four years as a senior consultant prior to joining Tube Investments.
