
Castrol Named Sandeep Sangwan As Global CMO
Sandeep Sangwan, former Managing Director (MD) of Castrol India, has been named as Global Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Castrol. This appointment was announced on LinkedIn by Michelle Jou, Castrol’s Global Chief, and she also named Kedar Lele as MD of Castrol India.
Kedar Lele, formerly with Hindustan Unilever Limited, will replace Sangwan as the head of Castrol India, marking a new phase for the brand in the region.
Sandeep Sangwan has over two decades of experience. He has been working with BP since 2012 and he has held various leadership roles in Europe, Asia, and Africa. Since January 2020, he has served as the MD of Castrol India. He will now move to Castrol’s UK headquarters, where he succeeds Nicola Buck, who is set to take on an expanded marketing role within BP. Sangwan has previously led roles in sales, marketing, and P&L management at Gillette and P&G across India, the Middle East, China, and Europe. He is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, and the Regional Engineering College (NIT), Kurukshetra.
