Carol Furtado Appointed As Executive Director of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank

Carol Kripanayana Furtado has been appointed as Executive Director of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Limited, with effect from May 1, 2024, for a term of three years.

The appointment has been approved by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

Carol Furtado has been a part of the bank since its establishment, holding various roles such as Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO), Head of Operations and Service Quality, and Chief Business Officer. Furtado played a pivotal role in establishing Ujjivan as a leader, contributing her extensive 29 years of experience in retail banking and non-banking finance companies. She spearheaded the organisation’s transformation from NBFC-MFI to a small finance bank. She holds a postgraduate degree from Mount Carmel Institute of Management, Bangalore, and has previously worked with esteemed institutions such as the ANZ Group, Bank Muscat, and Centurion Bank.
