
Captain S. Divakar Appointed Interim CEO & MD Of Dredging Corporation Of India; Durgesh K. Dubey Retires
Capt. S. Divakar, Chief General Manager of Dredging Corporation of India Limited, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director (CEO & MD), effective October 16, 2025, until a regular MD & CEO is appointed, for six months, or until further orders.
Meanwhile, Durgesh Kumar Dubey retires as CEO & MD upon completion of his tenure, effective October 15, 2025.
Capt. Divakar began his career with DCI as a cadet in 1987 and served onboard dredgers for 22 years, advancing from Cadet to Captain and ultimately becoming Master of Dredger. After gaining experience in the complete operations of various dredgers, he transitioned to onshore service, holding senior management roles for 12 years. With a total of 34 years at DCI, he has acquired expertise in both dredger operations and onshore management, covering operational and techno-commercial aspects of the business.
Dubey is an officer of the Indian Railways Traffic Service (IRTS) from the 2006 batch. Over his career, he has held various roles under the Government of India, including Divisional Operations Manager in Bilaspur (2008–2011), Area Manager in Prayagraj (2011–2013), Senior Divisional Commercial Manager in Jhansi (2014–2017), and Deputy Chief Operations Manager (Coaching) at North Central Railways, Prayagraj. He served as Deputy Chairman of Visakhapatnam Port Authority before his appointment at Dredging Corporation of India.
