C. P. Gurnani MD & CEO Of Tech Mahindra Has Retired, Mohit Joshi Takes Over

Mohit Joshi has been appointed as the Managing Director and CEO of Tech Mahindra Limited, with effect from December 20, 2023. He replaced C. P. Gurnani, whose term of appointment ended on December 19, 2023.

Mohit Joshi has more than 20 years of experience in enterprise technology and consulting. Joshi worked with big companies worldwide, helping them go digital and thrive. Since 2020, he’s been a Non-Executive Director at Aviva Plc, where he was part of committees overseeing risk and governance. Before Tech Mahindra, he was the President of Infosys Limited. He started his career in banking with ABN AMRO and ANZ. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from Delhi University and a bachelor’s degree in history from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.

CP Gurnani has over 40 years of experience, has held key positions in companies like Hewlett Packard, Perot Systems, and HCL Corporation, and served as Chairman of NASSCOM. He has been on the Board of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, and his passion for education is evident in his roles on the boards of Mahindra Educational Institutions and Mahindra University. His achievements include accolades like winning gold at the CEO World Awards 2018 and the Business Today ‘Best CEO’ Awards 2019. He is the Chairman of IIM Nagpur and the Founding Trustee of Plaksha University. He is a chemical engineering graduate from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, and holds honorary doctorate degrees from Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology and Sharda University.
