BP Plans Board Changes Under Chairman Albert Manifold
BP said Chairman Albert Manifold plans to reduce the size of the company’s Board as part of a strategy reset. Former Shell Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Simon Henry will leave the Board along with Directors Melody Meyer and Karen Richardson.
Manifold said the change in Board size is part of the company’s reset strategy and is aimed at enabling faster decisions and oversight as the plan moves forward. Henry joined the Board in September, while Richardson and Meyer were appointed in 2021 and 2017. After these exits, the board will have 10 Directors, compared with 13 earlier. Meg O’Neill, currently with Woodside Energy, will take over as Chief Executive in April after the exit of Murray Auchincloss.
