Bombay Dyeing appoints Sujal Shah, Srinivasan Vishwanathan, and Varun Berry on board
On June 28, 2024, the Board of Directors of Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company Limited approved the appointment of Sujal Anil Shah as an Additional Non-Executive Independent Director for 5 years, with effect from June 28, 2024.
The Board of Directors appointed Srinivasan Vishwanathan as an Additional Non-Executive Independent Director for 5 years, with effect from June 28, 2024.
The Board of Directors appointed Varun Berry as an Additional Non-Executive Non-Independent Director of the company, with effect from June 2024.
All the changes are subject to the approval of the members of the company.
Sujal Shah, a practicing Chartered Accountant, has a remarkable post-qualification experience of more than 32 years. He is the founder and partner of SSPA & Co. Shah serves as an independent director on the Boards of NOCIL, Mafatlal Industries, Hindoostan Mills, Navin Fluorine International, Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Limited, and Atul Limited. His diverse experience significantly enriches the governance and strategic decision-making processes.
Srinivasan Vishwanathan is an experienced finance leader with a diverse industry background and strong business expertise in leadership positions across finance verticals, including IT, legal, M&A, capital raising, and investor relations. Srinivasan is a chartered accountant and a company secretary. He has completed middle and senior management courses at IIM-Ahmedabad and the University of Michigan. He has successfully completed the leadership modules at Harvard Business School. He has also completed the ‘Edward De Bono’ course on lateral thinking and creativity. He held various senior positions at the Godrej Group Companies. He was awarded by Financial Express the Best CFO Award in the large enterprises category in 2020.
Varun Berry, 62, holds a graduate degree in BE Mechanical and an MBA from Punjab University. He has also attended a course in strategic management from Wharton University and the Global Leadership Programme at IMD, Switzerland. He is the Managing Director and Executive Vice Chairman of Britannia Industries Limited and Pepsico, both in India and overseas, and has a successful track record of leading startups, turnarounds, joint ventures, and growth businesses.
