The series continues to serve as a distinguished forum for Independent Directors, governance professionals, and corporate leaders to exchange insights on emerging governance priorities and the practice of effective stewardship in a rapidly transforming business environment.
This edition will delve into two critical areas shaping the modern board agenda: digital transformation and data compliance. It will feature the E-launch of the Deininger Report, ‘The Digital Board Member,’ created in collaboration with Control Risks. The report provides a timely perspective on how technology, digital literacy, and artificial intelligence are influencing the structure, strategy, and culture of Boards worldwide. It also highlights the growing need for directors to blend technological understanding with governance foresight to ensure resilient and ethical decision-making.
The session will open with a Welcome Address by Vikesh Wallia, Managing Director and Editor of Board Stewardship, who will set the tone for the dialogue on digital readiness and responsible governance. The Inaugural Remarks will be delivered by Shailesh Haribhakti, Chairman of the Advisory Board, Board Stewardship, and one of India’s most respected voices in Corporate Governance. He will reflect on how Boards can foster a culture of innovation while maintaining transparency and accountability.
The panel on Stewardship in the Digital Boardroom will feature Greg Sinclair, Partner and Head of Digital Risks, Asia-Pacific; Amit Narayan, Partner and Head of South Asia Geomarket, Control Risks; Manish Varghese, Managing Director and Head of Board Advisory Practice, India and Middle East, Deininger; Sandhya Vasudevan, Independent Director and Startup & Innovation Catalyst, Asia, formerly Managing Director at Thomson Reuters and Deutsche Bank; and Angela Thomas, Partner, Consumer and Retail, India and Middle East, Deininger. Together, they will discuss the evolving role of directors in overseeing technology-driven change, ensuring cyber resilience, and aligning digital strategy with organisational purpose.
A special knowledge segment titled Navigating the DPDP Act: Compliance and Beyond will feature Shivprasad Laud, Advisory Board Member, Fourteenth Degree Azimuth (India) Advisory; Nandan Pendsey, Partner, AZB & Partners; and Udit Pahwa, Chief Information Officer, Blue Star Ltd.
