Board Stewardship Monthly Webinar Series: When ESG Redefines Business Sustainability
Board Stewardship is excited to announce the upcoming edition of its flagship monthly webinar series, Stewardship in the Boardroom, scheduled for Friday, August 1, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:15 PM IST and titled ‘When ESG Redefines Business Sustainability.’ The session will bring together an eminent panel of thought leaders to examine the evolving responsibilities of Boards in an era where environmental, social, and governance (ESG) imperatives are reshaping business strategies.
As a premier platform dedicated to building future-ready Boards, Board Stewardship has designed this session to highlight the urgent need for Directors, especially Independent Directors, to strengthen their understanding of ESG risks, opportunities, and their long-term impact on business resilience. The two sessions are planned as under,
Session 1: ESG in the Boardroom—Turning Commitment into Action
The first session will feature a high-impact panel discussion on how Boards can move beyond declarations to embed ESG principles into decision-making and governance frameworks. The panel includes Nishtha Gupta, Group Head – Sustainability & ESG, Suzlon Group; Vishwanatha Gowd, Retd. MD & CEO, LIC Housing Finance Ltd., Board Member of India Cements Ltd., and Board Advisor to the ESG Research Foundation; and Rajesh Vaidya, CHRO & Head Sustainability at Silox India Private Limited. Together, they will explore how Directors can bridge the gap between ESG commitments and measurable outcomes while aligning these initiatives with shareholder and stakeholder expectations.
Session 2: Making Sustainability Work
The second panel discussion will focus on translating sustainability strategies into operational success. Featuring Shalini Singh, Independent Director and Sustainability Expert; Santosh Jayaram, Adjunct Professor of Practice, Amrita School for Sustainable Futures; and Jangoo Dalal, Co-founder & CEO, GovEVA, this session will delve into practical frameworks and governance models that help Boards ensure that sustainability is not just policy but practice.
