Biocon’s Head – SCM & Central Engineering Prasad Deshpande Resigns

Prasad Deshpande has tendered his resignation from the post of Head, SCM and Central Engineering, Senior Management Personnel (SMP) of Biocon, with effect from January 16, 2024. Due to personal reasons and to pursue other opportunities.

Prasad Deshpande has over 26 years of experience in supply chain management and contract manufacturing, having managed assignments in the U.S., India, Belgium, and Singapore. He joined Biocon in March 2011. His career began with Kirloskar Oil Engines, where he worked for two years. Later, he moved to the U.S. and worked for Pfizer for 13 years in various roles. He is an expert in operational excellence and lean improvement, overseeing Global End-to-End Supply Chain Management, Contract Manufacturing, and Pharmaceutical Outsourcing in the Asia Pacific region. He is a mechanical engineer from the University of Pune and has an MS in Manufacturing Management from the University of Toledo.
