Bank of Maharashtra’s CEO, A. S. Rajeev Appointed as Vigilance Commissioner at the Central Vigilance Commission
A.S. Rajeev, who was serving as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank of Maharashtra, has been appointed as the Vigilance Commissioner in the Central Vigilance Commission. As a result, he is now relieved from the bank.
Rajeev, 56, is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and has approximately three decades of experience in the banking sector. In December 2018, Rajeev was appointed as MD and CEO at the Bank of Maharashtra. He also serves as a Director at Exim Bank and New India Assurance Co. Ltd. and is a member of the governing body of the IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection). Earlier, he served as an Executive Director at Indian Bank and as the Director of NPCI and two subsidiaries of the bank, namely IndBank Merchant Banking Services and Ind Bank Housing. Additionally, he has been a member of various committees established by the RBI. He graduated in mathematics and holds professional qualifications including FCA, MBA, DISA, and CAIIB.
