Bank of Baroda’s Chairman Hasmukh Adhia Retired

Former Finance Secretary Dr. Hasmukh Adhia completed his 5-year term as Non-Executive Chairman of Bank of Baroda and retired on February 29, 2024.

Dr. Adhia retired from the Indian Administrative Service in November 2018, having served as the Union Finance Secretary and Revenue Secretary in the Government of India. In his capacity as Finance and Revenue Secretary, he earned recognition for successfully overseeing the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) in India.

He has also held key positions, such as a member of the Board of Governors at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Pandit Deendayal Energy University and Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute (GERMI).

He holds a postgraduate degree in accounting, achieved gold medal status at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, and has earned a Ph.D. in yoga from Swami Vivekananda Yoga University, Bangalore.
