
Balaji Krishnamurthy To Replace Prashanth Mahendra-Rajah As CFO Of Uber
Uber has appointed Balaji Krishnamurthy as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), as current CFO Prashanth Mahendra-Rajah moves on from the position.
Mahendra-Rajah will continue to work with the company as a senior finance advisor to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dara Khosrowshahi until July 1, 2026, Uber said.
Before joining Uber in November 2019, Krishnamurthy spent over eight years at Goldman Sachs, where he served as Vice President (VP) in equity research, covering hardware and communications technology companies in the United States. He joined Uber as a senior manager in investor relations and later led the investor relations function between 2020 and 2023. In January 2025, he was appointed VP of Strategic Finance, with responsibility for financial planning and related functions. He is a finance executive with experience across investment research and corporate finance roles. Krishnamurthy holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication from Manipal Institute of Technology. He also holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, and completed an exchange programme at Copenhagen Business School in 2008.
