Bajaj Auto Appoints Vinita Bali as Non-Executive Independent Director
The members of Bajaj Auto Limited have approved the appointment of Vinita Bali as a Non-Executive Independent Director for five years, with effect from April 1, 2024. The members also approved the reappointment of Pradip P. Shah as a Non-Executive Independent Director for five years, with effect from April 1, 2024.
Vinita Bali is a successful business leader with experience in leading large companies in India and abroad. She started at Voltas Ltd., then worked at Cadbury India, becoming its youngest General Manager. Later, she joined The Coca-Cola Company, doubling Coca-Cola’s growth rate in three years. She held various roles, including Vice President for Latin America and President of the Andean Division. In 2005, she became MD and CEO of Britannia Industries, where she diversified and expanded the company’s portfolio. She led Britannia to significant growth and pioneering efforts to address malnutrition. Currently, she serves on global Boards like Cognizant Technology Solutions and SATS Ltd. and is a non-executive Director on Indian Boards like CRISIL Ltd. and Syngene International Ltd. Vinita Bali has received recognition and awards for her contributions to business and society. She has a degree in economics from the University of Delhi and a Masters in management from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, University of Bombay. She also pursued postgraduate studies in international business at Michigan State University.
