Avinash Gupta Appointed Independent Director of TCIL

The Board of Transport Corporation of India Limited has approved the appointment of Avinash Gupta as an Additional Director in the capacity of Non-Executive Independent Director for a term of 5 years, with effect from October 30, 2023. Subject to the approval of shareholders.

Avinash Gupta is MD of Dun & Bradstreet Information Services India Pvt. Ltd. He has more than three decades of experience. He has worked in financial services, including M&A, equity and debt financing, private equity placement, and advisory services across EMENA and Asia. Prior to joining Dun & Bradstreet, he worked with Rabo Equity Advisors. Over the years, he has held various leadership positions, including recently as Head of Deloitte India’s Financial Advisory Services business. He has worked in senior positions at institutions such as HSBC, UBS, Barings, Citibank, Falcon Capital, and Alpen Capital. In his initial years in the USA, he worked as an equity analyst at Wedbush Morgan Securities (Los Angeles) and Howard Weil (New Orleans). He sits on the National Executive Committees of FICCI and ASSOCHAM.

He has an MBA from the A.B. Freeman School of Business, Tulane University (Dean’s List with full fellowship) and a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, BHU Varanasi.
