Asha Sharma Appointed As CEO & EVP Of Microsoft Gaming

Microsoft has appointed Asha Sharma as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice President (CEO & EVP) of its gaming division, succeeding Phil Spencer, who led Xbox for years, and will retire and remain an adviser through the summer.

Sharma earlier held roles in AI platform and product leadership at Microsoft. She previously served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Instacart and as VP of Product & Engineering at Meta. She is currently serving as a Board Member at The Home Depot and Coupang. Her work has focused on platform operations, product strategy, and scaling teams. Sharma earned a business degree from the University Of Minnesota Carlson School Of Management.
