Aruna Sundararajan Steps Down As Independent Director Of Info Edge (India)

Aruna Sundararajan, Independent Director of Info Edge (India) Limited, has resigned, effective October 12, 2025, due to her recent appointment as a Government Nominee on a regulatory body and possible consequential conflicts of interest. She has been nominated as an external member to the newly constituted Payments Regulatory Board (PRB), which will succeed the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) Board for Regulation and Supervision of Payment and Settlement Systems (BPSS).

Sundararajan is a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer who served as Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministries of Steel, IT, and Telecom, and as Chairperson of the Digital Communications Commission until July 2019. She played a key role in advancing national policies on telecom, hardware manufacturing, e-governance, digital payments, data protection, cybersecurity, and tech start-ups. Post-retirement, along with Infoedge, she has been serving on the Boards of Delhivery, the National Bank for Infrastructure Financing and Development (NaBFID), and Cochin International Airport. She is also active in technology mentoring and angel investment initiatives, supporting innovation and digital entrepreneurship in India.
