
Arun Mammen Re-Elected As ATMA Chairman; Rajarshi Moitra Named Vice Chairman
The Automotive Tyre Manufacturers’ Association (ATMA) has re-elected Arun Mammen, Vice Chairman and Managing Director (MD) of MRF Ltd., as its Chairman.
In other changes, Rajarshi Moitra, MD of Bridgestone India Pvt. Ltd., has been appointed as Vice Chairman of ATMA.
The association also announced that Sanjay Chatterjee has been elevated to the position of Director General. He was serving as Assistant Director General. He succeeds Rajiv Budhraja, who will retire effective March 31, 2026.
During his early career, Mammen trained with BF Goodrich Tire & Co. and Uniroyal Goodrich Tire & Co., gaining exposure to tyre manufacturing and operations. He became MD of MRF in 2004 and was appointed Vice Chairman and MD in 2017. He is a graduate of Madras Christian College. He holds an MBA from Ashland University in the United States. Mammen is interested in cricket and motorsports and has been associated with industry bodies representing the tyre sector in India.
Moitra has over 20 years of experience across business strategy, profit centre management, sales and marketing, and organisational transformation. Previously, he has held positions such as Vice President of International Business at CEAT Tyres Ltd., Senior General Manager at PepsiCo India Holdings, and Manager of Human Resources at Marico Ltd. He joined Bridgestone India in 2019 to lead the consumer business. In June 2024, he was appointed Executive Director of Sales & Marketing. In May 2025, he took over as Deputy MD, supporting operations at Bridgestone India and working across multiple business functions.
