Arun Kumar Bansal Resigned as Executive Director of IDBI Bank to lead Paytm Payment Bank

Arun Kumar Bansal, Executive Director and Head Treasury, designated as Senior Management Personnel (SMP) of IDBI Bank Limited, has resigned with effect from June 25, 2024.

The Reserve Bank of India, India’s banking regulator, has approved Bansal’s appointment as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Paytm Payment Bank.

Bansal joined IDBI Bank in June 2022. Before that, he had a 31-year tenure with Indian Bank. He started his career in general banking and, in 2005, advanced to Chief Dealer and Funds Management – Fixed Income and Equity. He also held positions as AGM Corporate Credit and Head of Project Appraisal and Debt Syndication. In 2018, he became Head of Treasury, and by 2020, he was serving as General Manager and CFO. He has an M.COM from Himachal Pradesh University and a PGPBF from NIBM, Pune.
