Apex Frozen Foods Appoints K.S. Murthy As Executive Chairman & K.S. Chowdary As MD
Karuturi Satyanarayana Murthy has been reappointed as an Executive Chairman (Executive Director) of Apex Frozen Foods Limited, effective December 1, 2025.
Further, Karuturi Subrahmanya Chowdary has been reappointed as Managing Director (MD) of the company, effective December 1, 2025.
Additionally, Neelima Devi Karuturi has been reappointed as Whole-Time Director of the company, effective February 1, 2026.
The company also reappointed B. Raghavulu Naidu and Govindareddy Krishnamoorthy as Independent Directors, effective June 4, 2026, and June 22, 2026, respectively.
Murthy is the Co-Promoter and Executive Chairman of the company, with over 30 years of experience in the aqua industry. His leadership has played a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth and operations. As Executive Chairman, he oversees daily management, ensures effective execution of strategies as directed by the Board, and remains fully dedicated to the company’s business. Entrusted with managing the overall affairs of the company, he continues to devote his expertise and commitment to its sustained progress.
Chowdary is a Co-Promoter of the company and has more than 24 years of experience in the aqua sector. He brings strong expertise in both technical and managerial functions. He has successfully driven new product launches, overseen capacity expansions, and contributed significantly to establishing the company as one of the largest shrimp feed manufacturers. As MD, he leads daily operations while providing strategic direction on expansion, diversification, and business growth, backed by his deep understanding of the company’s vision and requirements.
Karuturi, a Co-Promoter of the company and has over 13 years of experience in the aqua industry. She brings expertise in administration and corporate social responsibility (CSR), having played a key role in shaping the company’s administrative systems and CSR initiatives. As Whole-Time Director (Director-Admin), she oversees human resources, administration, and CSR programmes while supporting strategic decisions at the Board level. Her contributions have been integral to strengthening governance frameworks, enhancing stakeholder engagement, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Naidu is registered under the Bar Council of India. With a strong foundation in legal reasoning, regulatory knowledge, and advocacy, he brings valuable expertise to the role of Independent Director. He practised as an Advocate before the Madras High Court from 1987 to 1991, later serving in senior legal roles at SBI. Between 1994 and 2020, he provided legal leadership across 200 to 1,200 branches in Tamil Nadu as Assistant General Manager (Law). His extensive experience strengthens the Board’s capabilities in contracts, compliance, regulatory matters, and litigation management with an independent perspective.
Krishnamoorthy is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with 40 years of experience in auditing, taxation, and financial oversight across public and private companies as well as banks. He possesses in-depth expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, internal controls, and risk management, with extensive experience in audit methodologies and board-level processes. His experience enables him to guide audit and risk committees with independent judgement on financial integrity. With over four decades of professional experience, he provides strong oversight of financial reporting, controls, and governance.
