Anuj Sohum Appointed As Chairperson Of Affle India, Reshma Virmani Joins As Independent Director

Anuj Khanna Sohum has been appointed as the Chairperson of Affle (India) Limited, effective February 09, 2025.

Reshma Prasad Virmani has been appointed as Independent Director (Additional Director) of the company, effective February 08, 2025. While, Lay See Tan, stepped down from his role as an Independent Director.

Dr. Hanny Kusnadi has been appointed as Independent Director (Additional Director), subject to allotment of Director Identification Number (DIN) by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

Anuj Khanna Sohum is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Affle, leading the company for the past two decades. He has over 25 years of experience in technology and data platform-based businesses. His leadership and strategic vision have driven Affle’s long-term growth, with a focus on technology innovation and global expansion. He ensures strategic alignment among key stakeholders to support sustainable growth and value creation. He holds a degree in computer engineering from the National University of Singapore and has completed executive programs at Harvard Business School (OPM) and Stanford Graduate School of Business (SEP).

Reshma Prasad Virmani is a management professional with around 20 years of experience in telecom, internet services, and consumer electronics. She has held leadership roles at Bharti Airtel Ltd. and Samsung India Electronics Ltd., contributing to business growth and strategic initiatives. Her expertise includes marketing, data analytics, and digital product management, with a focus on customer engagement and scalable solutions. She holds a degree in manufacturing engineering from Ranchi University and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.

Dr. Hanny Kusnadi has over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance, spanning academia and industry. She is a Senior Lecturer and Academic Director of the M.Sc. in Accounting program at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School. She holds a PhD in Accounting from the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST) and has conducted research on corporate governance, firm valuation, and earnings management. She has taught at NUS, HKUST, and Stanford University. Before academia, she worked as a tax consultant in Silicon Valley and as a Finance Controller in Singapore. She has earned her undergraduate degree in accounting from Santa Clara University.
