Anand Kripalu To Transition From CEO & MD To Non-Independent Director At EPL; Hemant Bakshi To Take Over As CEO & MD

Anand Kripalu will retire from the post of Global Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Managing Director (MD) of EPL Limited, effective December 31, 2025. The Board has approved his appointment as Non-Executive Non-Independent Director with effect from April 1, 2026, subject to approval of the shareholders.

Hemant Bakshi has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company with effect from October 13, 2025, and as Global CEO & MD with effect from January 1, 2026, subject to approval of the shareholders.

Kripalu has over 30 years of experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. Before this role, he spent seven years as CEO & MD of Diageo India and was a member of Diageo’s Global Executive Committee. He also served nearly eight years at Mondelez International (formerly Cadbury) as President of India and Southeast Asia. Earlier, he worked for 22 years at Unilever in various general management, sales, and marketing roles, concluding as MD of East Africa. Kripalu holds an MBA from IIM Calcutta, a B.Tech in electronics from IIT Madras, and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Wharton Business School.

Bakshi has over 30 years of experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. He spent three decades at Unilever in senior leadership roles across India and Indonesia, including as CEO and later Non-Executive Chairman of Unilever Indonesia. He led business growth, transformed go-to-market strategies, and implemented diversity and inclusion initiatives. Bakshi also founded and led GroNext Technologies, a Unilever-funded venture creating a B2B marketplace for traditional trade stores. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from IIT Mumbai and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad.
