Amit Paithankar Joins Waaree Energies As CEO; Dr. Arvind A. Steps Down As Non-Executive Director
Amit Paithankar has been appointed for the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as an Additional Director designated as a Whole-Time Director of Waaree Energies Limited, effective December 23, 2024, subject to the approval of shareholders of the company.
Dr. Arvind Ananthanarayanan steps down from his position of Non-Executive Director with immediate effect from December 23, 2024, on account of other professional commitments.
Paithankar brings over 25 years of experience in engineering, R&D, manufacturing, IT, and general management. His career spans roles across India, Asia Pacific, the EU, and the US. He began his journey in design engineering and manufacturing at Crompton Greaves before moving to R&D with ABB. He spent two decades at Emerson, managing sales and general management in India and the Asia Pacific. During this tenure, he played a key role in establishing R&D and manufacturing centres in India and led global technology and shared service centers. Paithankar holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mumbai and an MBA from the London School of Business and Finance.
