Alok Chandra Misra To Replace Milind Sarwate As Independent Director Of Hexaware Technologies

Alok Chandra Misra has been appointed as an Independent Director at Hexaware Technologies Limited, w.e.f. February 23, 2026, as a successor to Milind Sarwate, who will retire on April 24, 2026. Misra’s appointment was approved on April 2, 2026.

Misra is the Co-Founder of Guvrn, a platform that connects Independent Directors with companies focused on governance practices. Until June 2024, he served as Operating Partner and Chief Operating Officer (COO), at General Atlantic (India), where he worked with portfolio companies across India and ASEAN. He has prior experience as a public company CFO, including serving as Group CFO at WNS Group, now part of Capgemini. He has also held the role of Group CFO at MphasiS and worked with ITC Limited and PwC. Misra is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds a commerce degree from the University of Calcutta.

Sarwate is the Founder and CEO of Increate Value Advisors LLP, a firm he established in 2015 to work with organisations on business and social value creation. He brings over three decades of experience, including roles at Marico and Godrej Group. He advises private equity investors, corporate leaders, and organisations on governance, finance, and strategy, and also works with non-profits on CSR and social initiatives. He serves on the boards of companies such as Mahindra Finance, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Metropolis Healthcare, and Matrimony.com. Sarwate is a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, and Company Secretary, and has received recognitions including the ICAI and CNBC-TV18 CFO awards.
