Air India Group Reshapes Leadership Ahead of Vistara Merger
Air India Group has announced significant leadership changes ahead of its upcoming merger with Vistara on November 12, 2024. To streamline the integration, key leaders will shift to new responsibilities at Air India and its subsidiary Air India Express.
Vinod Kannan, CEO of Vistara, will continue to serve as Chief Integration Officer after the merger and will join Air India’s Management Committee, led by CEO Campbell Wilson. Deepak Rajawat, Vistara’s Chief Commercial Officer, will become CFO at Air India Express, assisting with strategic initiatives. Vikas Agarwal, Capt. Hamish Maxwell, and Capt. Pushpinder Singh will take on new duties at Air India. Deepa Chadha and Vinod Bhatt will advance to senior roles within the Tata Group, while Niyant Maru will retire. The combination, which was approved by NCLT and regulators, would increase service offerings, expand fleet alternatives, and improve the customer experience.
