Aegon Proposes David Herzog, Lori Fouché & Jay Ralph For Board Roles

Aegon has nominated David Herzog, Lori Fouché, and Jay Ralph to join its Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 12, 2025.

The Board plans to appoint Herzog as Chair in the second half of 2025, succeeding William Connelly. To support a transition, Connelly will be proposed for reappointment for one additional year before retiring.

Mark Ellman and Jack McGarry will be nominated for reappointment, while Dona Young will retire after her third term.

Herzog, Fouché, and Ralph bring experience in insurance and asset management. Herzog holds a bachelor’s degree in science & business administration (BSBA) from the University of Missouri. He also holds an MBA in finance & economics from the University of Chicago.

Fouché is an Executive and Board Director with experience in the insurance and financial services sector. She most recently served as CEO of TIAA Financial Solutions, a retirement and investment provider. Prior to that, she held leadership roles at Prudential Financial, including President of Individual Annuities, CEO of Group Insurance, and Group Head of Individual Solutions. Fouché is currently a Director, Advisor, and investor. She serves on the Boards of The Kraft Heinz Company, Hippo Holdings, and Princeton University. Her work has focused on business strategy, customer experience, and organisational culture. Fouché holds a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Ralph is a board member with experience in asset management, insurance, reinsurance, risk management, finance, and audit. He has led organisations of various sizes, including start-ups, and has served in senior leadership roles for nearly two decades at Allianz SE. He was a member of Allianz SE’s Board of Management and also chaired Allianz Asset Management and Allianz Life Insurance Company North America. He currently serves on the Boards of Swiss Re Group and the Siemens Pension Advisory Board.
