ABFRL Reappoints Arun Kumar Adhikari, Preeti Vyas & Yogesh Chaudhary As Independent Directors
Arun Kumar Adhikari, Preeti Vyas, and Yogesh Chaudhary have been reappointed as Independent Directors of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited, effective May 19, 2026, March 31, 2026, and March 17, 2026, respectively.
Adhikari joined Hindustan Unilever as a Management Trainee in 1977 and spent his entire corporate career with Unilever. He retired in January 2014 as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Laundry Category, overseeing operations across Asia and Africa, based in Singapore. From May 2014, he worked with McKinsey & Company in India as a Senior Advisor for four years, supporting the Consumer Practice and advising clients across consumer and non-consumer sectors on marketing and sales strategy. He currently serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands, Hindalco Industries, Aditya Birla Capital, Voltas, and Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance Company. Adhikari is a graduate in chemical engineering from IIT Kanpur and holds an MBA from IIM Calcutta. He has also completed the Advanced Management Program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Vyas is an entrepreneur and the Founder of Vyas Giannetti Creative, which operates as an integrated design and communication consultancy with clients across sectors. She has been listed among the 50 influential women in India by Impact and Verve magazines and has been recognised by Economic Times and Business Today. She has served on the juries of Cannes Awards, D&AD London, and New York Festivals. She has worked as a consultant in the design education space with academic institutions. She has received the Women Disruptors Lifetime Achievement Award from Ad Gully. She has been featured in the books Sheroes Amongst Us and Women and Money. She has served on the Indian Design Council and is an Independent Director on the Boards of Aditya Birla Real Estate, Novel Jewels, Aditya Birla Renewable, Goodview Fashion, and Indivinity Clothing Retail. Vyas is a graduate of the National Institute of Design.
Chaudhary has been associated with the manufacturing sector and has been involved in expanding Jaipur Rugs’ global operations to more than 65 countries from two markets over a decade. He has been part of industry and investment networks, including Rajasthan Angel Investors Network, Intellecap Impact Investment Network, and Entrepreneurs’ Organisation. He has worked with entrepreneurs and investors across sectors through these associations. He currently serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands, Goodview Fashion, and House of Masaba Lifestyle. Chaudhary is a management graduate from Boston College, USA.
