A. Y. Rajendra Appointed CEO- Animal Feed At Godrej Agrovet

The Board of Directors of Godrej Agrovet Limited has approved the appointment of Capt. (Dr.) A. Y. Rajendra as CEO, Animal Feed Business, with effect from January 1, 2024. He replaced Sandeep Kumar Singh, who has tendered his resignation.

Capt. (Dr.) A.Y. Rajendra, 54, is currently Head of Special Projects at Godrej Agrovet and is working with Creamline Dairy Products Limited. His team is developing a new model of direct milk collection from farmers to enhance the quality and shelf life of milk. Rajendra has served in the Indian Armed Forces, Remount & Veterinary Corps. He joined GAVL in 1999 in the integrated poultry business and was the head of breeding, hatchery, and broiler contract farming in southern India. After this, he held various positions in the poultry and animal feed businesses. In 2019, he took over as the CEO of ACI Godrej Agrovet Private Limited, Bangladesh, a joint venture of GAVL and Advanced Chemical Industries, Bangladesh. By the end of his 4 years’ tenure, ACI Godrej had moved up from being No. 6 to No. 3 in the animal feed business. He has a master’s degree in veterinary sciences.
