Harish Bhat resigns as Non-Executive Director of Trent after 12 years

Harish Bhat has resigned as Non-Executive, Non-Independent Director of Trent Limited, effective October 17, 2026, citing increasing professional and personal commitments. He joined the board in April 2014 and served for more than 12 years.

Bhat joined the Tata Group in 1987 as an officer of the Tata Administrative Service. He went on to serve as Brand Custodian at Tata Sons and Managing Director of Tata Global Beverages Limited. His other leadership roles included Chief Operating Officer of the Watches and Jewellery Businesses at Titan Company and the group’s telecom business.

He continues to serve as a director at Tata Starbucks Private Limited and Infiniti Retail Limited. His career spans consumer brands, beverages, retail, jewellery, and telecommunications across the Tata Group.

Bhat holds a PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad, where he received the Gold Medal in 1987, and a B.E. (Hons.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from BITS Pilani. He received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from BITS Pilani in 2017 and served as President of the BITS Students’ Union in 1984.
