Karur Vysya Bank Appoints Ramshankar R As Chief Operating Officer; Chandrasekaran M S Completes Tenure

Karur Vysya Bank Limited appoints Ramshankar R as Chief Operating Officer, with effect from October 16, 2026. Separately, Chandrasekaran M S has relinquished his position as Chief General Manager and Chief Operating Officer, positions that form part of the Key Managerial Personnel and Senior Management Personnel of the Bank, with effect from the close of office hours on October 15, 2026, on completion of his tenure.

Ramshankar is currently a General Manager at Karur Vysya Bank, with extensive experience in financial management, corporate banking, credit risk, business development and regulatory compliance. Over the years, he has held senior roles at Karur Vysya Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and ING Vysya Bank, managing corporate relationships, lending portfolios, branch operations and regional business growth. His expertise includes financial reporting, budgeting, credit appraisal, treasury coordination, risk management and corporate finance. He began his career in accounts and financial management, building a strong foundation in accounting, audits and compliance.

He is a Chartered Accountant with a B.Com degree from RKM Vivekananda College. He has completed ICAI certifications in GST and Information Systems Audit, along with an IIBF certificate course on resolving stressed assets with a focus on the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.
