Anindya Biswas Appointed Government Nominee Director At HAL

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has appointed Anindya Biswas, DS & DG (Aero), DRDO, as a Part-time Official Director (Government Nominee Director), replacing Dr K Rajalakshmi Menon. The appointment is effective from October 7, 2026.

Biswas joined the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in 1992 and has played a key role in the indigenous design and development of several missile systems and advanced avionic sub-systems. He has also worked on developing technologies and work models for future weapon systems, including collaboration with academia, startups and young scientists. For his contributions, he has received the DRDO Young Scientists Award and Scientist of the Year Award.

He holds a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Bengal Engineering College, Shibpur, and an M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from IIT Kharagpur.
