Xingli Wang Joins Gland Pharma Board as Wenjie Zhang Resigns

The Board of Directors of Gland Pharma Limited has approved the appointment of Xingli Wang as an Additional Director (Non-Executive & Non-Independent Director) with effect from October 01, 2026.

Wang joins the Board following the resignation of Wenjie Zhang, who stepped down as Non-Executive and Non-Independent Director due to his pre-occupations. His resignation was accepted with immediate effect.

Wang, 63, is currently the President of Fosun Pharma, and holds positions including the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Global R&D Center and CEO of innovative medicine division, Fosun Pharma and Non-Executive Director of Shanghai Henlius. He joined the Fosun Group in January, 2023 and served as the Executive President. Prior to joining the Fosun Group, he served as a Senior lecturer in Cardiovascular Medicine at The University of New South Wales, Australia, and as a cardiologist and professor with tenure at Baylor College of Medicine, USA, Medical Director of Schering-Plough Corporation, a company formerly listed on the New York Stock Exchange. He also worked in Novartis AG. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine from Shandong Medical College and a Doctorate degree in Cardiovascular Science from the UNSW. He also holds a license to practice Medicine in Australia.
