Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Appoints Partha Satpathy As Non-Executive Independent Director

Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Limited has appointed Partha Satpathy as an Additional Director (Non-Executive Independent) on its Board, with effective from September 5, 2026, for a period of three years, subject to the approval of shareholders.

Satpathy is a former Ambassador and diplomat with over 35 years of experience, including 15 years at ambassadorial levels. He served as Ambassador of India to Hungary and Bosnia & Herzegovina from 2022 to 2025; Ambassador to Ukraine from 2018 to 2022; and Ambassador to Senegal, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau and Cabo Verde from 2012 to 2015. His career also includes assignments with the Ministry of External Affairs, including as Head of the Latin America and Caribbean Division, Head of the States of India Division, Minister at the Permanent Mission of India in Geneva, and Head of Economic Relations at the Embassy of India in Moscow. He has represented India on executive Boards of international and specialised UN organisations, including the WHO, ILO, HRC, WMO, ITU and WIPO. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration from IIM Ahmedabad, a Master’s in International Human Rights and Law from the University of Essex, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Hindu College, University of Delhi. He also holds a Financial Times Non-Executive Director Diploma.
