V. Subramanian Concludes His Tenure As Independent Director Of Adani Enterprises
V. Subramanian has completed his term as an Independent Director of Adani Enterprises Limited and consequently retired with effect from August 21, 2026.
Subramanian is a former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the 1971 West Bengal cadre, with 37 years of experience in government. He held senior positions in the governments of India and West Bengal, including heading the Power and Labour departments in the state. He served as Secretary in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, where he worked on reforms and development of the renewable energy sector, including the introduction of the Feed-in Tariff framework. He also served as Financial Adviser in the Ministries of Civil Aviation, Tourism and Culture and later in the Ministry of Rural Development. After retirement, he worked as a consultant and held advisory positions in energy and scientific organisations. He headed the Indian Wind Energy Association from 2008 to 2018 and serves on the Advisory Board of India Energy Exchange.
