Websol Energy System Adds Two Directors, Appoints New Company Secretary

Sanjay Kumar and Dinesh Agarwal have been appointed as Non-Executive Non-Independent Directors (Additional Directors) of Websol Energy System Limited with effect from August 10, 2026, subject to shareholders’ approval.

Further, Rajeewa R. Arya has expressed his unwillingness to be reappointed and continue as a Director of the Company due to his personal reasons, and consequently he will retire effective the ensuing Annual General Meeting (AGM).

In addition, Ashok Purohit has been appointed as Company Secretary & Compliance Officer of the Company, with effect from August 10, 2026.

Sanjay Kumar is an energy industry professional with 39 years of experience across the oil and gas, energy and automotive sectors. He has also served on the Board of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) Middle East Free Zone Company in Dubai, first as Director and later as Chairman. Before retiring from HPCL in May 2026, he served as Executive Director – Market Research, Analysis & Planning and Business Development. During his career at HPCL, he held leadership roles in institutional business, lubricants, corporate strategy, business development and retail. He contributed to HPCL’s entry into the electric vehicle ecosystem and supported the development of startups.

Dinesh Agarwal is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and Fellow Cost and Management Accountant with over 33 years of experience in tax, regulatory and governance advisory. He is a retired Partner – Tax & Regulatory Services at Ernst & Young LLP, India, where he was associated from 2004. Earlier, he worked with KPMG, Kolkata, from 1999 to 2004 and Lovelock & Lewes, part of PricewaterhouseCoopers, from 1993 to 1999. Agarwal has advised multinational corporations, sovereign investment vehicles, promoter-led businesses and Indian groups on corporate tax, international tax, foreign investment regulations, transfer pricing, dispute resolution and risk management.

Ashok Purohit is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and holds a master’s degree in Finance. He has extensive experience in corporate laws, securities regulations and statutory compliance. During his career, he has handled corporate actions including NSE listings, mergers, demergers, Qualified Institutional Placements (QIPs), buybacks and hostile takeovers.
